Big Bear consists mainly of Big Bear Lake, Big Bear City, City of Fawnskin, Sugarloaf, Baldwin Lake and Erwin Lake.

The population of the entire valley hovers around the 20,000 mark. The winter months (November – April) tend to see a surge of the transient population. As the Ski Resorts and other businesses shore up their head count to help with the high volume of people that come through the valley for winter sports, the town is a lot busier during the weekends and holidays.

There is no shortage of restaurants in Big Bear, of all types of cuisine. And we have the usual spate of fast food restaurants such as McDonald’s and Carls Jr.
